Vacation 2010, Day 01, May 15

Here we are On the Road Again! We started by driving north on I-5, stopped at Carlsbad and had breakfast at the Tip Top Market. After eating we continued north on I-5 to highway 57 then north on 57 to Yorba Linda where we toured the Richard Nixon Library and birth place. After the tour we got back on Hwy-57 north to I-10 east to Hwy-101 north through downtown Los Angeles and Hollywood into the San Fernando Valley where we stopped in Northridge to visit Wanda Roth. Wanda still lives on the street where I lived with parents from age five to twenty something when I finally moved out for the last time. Wanda is the mother of Bob Roth, one of my best friends when I was growing up. She was also my Cub Scout Den Mother and my second Mom. We visited with Wanda and she cooked us supper. We stayed the night in the RV in front of her house.
