Vacation 2010, Day 07, May 21

After we got up and had some coffee we went and checked out the barnyard animals at the campground. We also saw a flock of geese in the pasture. Then we went out to breakfast at Pete's Henney Penney Cafe. The food was good and the portions were huge! After breakfast we got on Hwy-101 north. We stopped for fuel in Eureka. Continued north on Hwy-101 except for a 32 mile alternate route on the Avenue of the Giants through the redwoods. After we got back on Hwy-101 we saw a herd of elk beside the road. Got a camping space at the Crescent City KOA http://www.koa.com/where/CA/05102/ . Went back into town for supper at the Chart Room (recommended by the people at the KOA) and it was good. Then it was back to camp for dominos.
