Day 1

Date: 05/04/2002

Left San Diego 6:30AM east on Interstate 8. Stopped for breakfast in Alpine. Crossed the boarder into Mexico at Calexico/Mexicali. Drove south from Mexicali on highway 5 to San Felipe B.C. Mexico. Took Marilyn on a tour of the town (about 10 min.) then headed south to our campground "Las Conchas".  Where we met up with a group of people that Jim used to go to Mexico with every year for a reunion. Our reservations got messed up so we had to set up in a temporary location for the night, no big deal.
