Vacation 2003, Day 2

Jon and Fay fixed us breakfast and we headed north from Phoenix on I-17 to highway 179 then west to Sedona. The last time we were in Sedona we wanted to take a Jeep tour but didn't have the time. So we got a campsite at Rancho Sedona RV Park and called Pink Jeep Tours. Our driver/tour guide David picked us up at the RV park and took us on a two hour tour. The "Scenic Rim Tour" Ascended 2,000 feet to the very top of the Mongollon Rim. Majestic red rock formations blazing the trail of scenic beauty. A dramatic vantage point for sightseers and a photographers dream. (According to the brochure).

The trees in the campground are full of Cicadas. the Cicadas make a very loud noise that builds and ebbs. They are very annoying. They say they quiet down at night, we sure hope they are right.

Tonight's dinner is one of our rare special camping meals, Hot Dogs and beans.
