Vacation 2003, Day 6

Bacon and French toast in the RV. Drove around Historic Durango then headed east on highway 160. Ran into more rain and a little snow going over Wolf Creek Pass (10,850'). Stopped at Great Sand Dunes National Monument. It showered the whole time we were there. A stream came out of nowhere and started running across the sand. From the Dunes we drove north on hwy 17 to Poncha Springs, then east on 50 to Salida where we got a place to spend the night at the 4 Seasons RV Park. Our campsite is next to the Arkansas River. Dinner was simple camping fare, roast turkey, stuffing, gravy cranberries and rolls.
