Vacation 2003, Day 7

Breakfast in the RV. Then continued on highway 50 to the Royal Gorge Bridge, the highest suspension bridge in the world. Toured the bridge, had lunch, then back on hwy 50 following the Arkansas River through Big Horn Sheep Canyon, where we saw a large herd of Big Horn Sheep beside the road. At Canyon City we turned onto hwy 115 and continued on to Colorado Springs where we toured Garden of the Gods, A National Natural Landmark. From Garden of the Gods we had a short adventure (took a wrong turn in Colorado Springs) after which we got on hwy 24 west to Manitou Springs where we got a place to stay the night at Pikes Peak RV Park and Campground. Had another simple camping dinner, Filet, baked potato, salad, rolls and wine (non-alcoholic).
