Vacation 2007, Day 03

Drove from the campground to Maxine's apartment, picked her up and went to The Hungry Miner restaurant for breakfast.

After breakfast we took a ride out east and south of Rawlins to Saratoga and the Snowy Range. The first picture is of Lake Marie, a beautiful lake with a tragic past. In 1955 a plane hit the peak behind the lake and 66 people were killed. The wreckage slid down the cliff and into the lake. The next two are at a view point near the summit.

Next we went to Hanna to visit friends of Maxine's, then back to Rawlins.

We all went to dinner at The Aspen House in Rawlins.
