Vacation 2008

Day 08, May 15

Breakfast in the RV. Stopped at The Nut Factory in Spokane then filled up the RV, then went to see waterfalls on the Spokane river in downtown Spokane. After seeing the falls we got on Hwy2 west to Wilber then Hwy174 west then 155 north to the Grand Coulee Dam, the largest hydroelectric dam in North America and the fourth largest in the world. We toured the visitor center then drove to the dam for a tour of one of the power houses (the one on the left of the picture). After leaving Grand Coulee Dam we took Hwy155 south to Hwy17 south. Stopped at the Dry Falls visitor center, then continued on Hwy17 to rejoin I90 west. At Vantage WA we stopped to eat supper at Golden Harvest Restaurant then found a place to stay the night at Wanapum State Park right on the Columbia River.
