Vacation 2009, Day 01, June 11

Our 2009 vacation started June 11 about 8am. We left San Diego on I-8 east, stopped for breakfast at Majors Diner in Pine Valley, continued east on I-8 to Gila Bend AZ, turned north on Hwy 85 to Buckeye AZ then east on I-10 to Glendale AZ to visit Jon and Faye Velle. Jon grilled steaks for supper, later we celebrated Faye's birthday (June 16) and Jim's Birthday (June 18) with a German Chocolate cake Marilyn baked for the occasion.
