Vacation 2012, Day 30 July 16 Click pictures to enlarge. Judith cooked us breakfast. After breakfast we borrowed Judith's car and drove Darwin MN to see the worlds largest twine ball (made by one man). After returning and after Phil got off work we all went to supper at Famous Dave's BBQ. Later we all played Rummykub (Phil won) and Shanghai (I won). Later Phil was reading the news paper and in the Doonesbury strip they talked about the worlds largest twine ball in Cawker Kansas. I looked it up and it seem two men were making twine balls at the same time. At the time the man in Cawker died his ball was larger but the man in Darwin continued until he died and at that time the Darwin ball was larger. The people in Cawker didn't want to be second best so they continued to build their ball and it is largest now. But the ball in Darwin is the largest made by a single man!
