Vacation 2014, Day 11, September 01

Breakfast in the RV. Packed up and left Picture Lake Campgrounds driving north on I-85, turned onto I-95 north just south of Richmond VA, then turned onto I-64 east in Richmond. Drove until we were just outside Williamsburg, VA where we checked into Colonial KOA Campground. After setting up camp we drove the pickup to Yorktown where the British surrendered to the Revolutionary Army to end the War of Independence. While in Yorktown we saw The Yorktown Battlefield and toured The Yorktown Victory Center. Next we drove to Jamestown where the first successful English speaking Colony in North America was established in 1607. We toured the Jamestown Settlement where we saw recreations of the Jamestown Fort, Ships that sailed there, an Indian village and a museum. On the way back to the campground we stopped at T. G. I Friday's for supper.
