Vacation 2014, Day 13, September 03

The leaves are starting to change - Michie Tavern - Home of James Monroe - James Monroe

Breakfast in the RV. Packed up and drove west on I-64 to Charlottesville VA. Got a place to stay at Charlottesville KOA. Drove the truck to the Michie Tavern, an 18th century tavern. Took a guided tour of the tavern and walked the grounds. Had lunch in the tavern. Next we drove to Ash Lawn-Highland, Home of James Monroe, fifth president of the United States. Took a guided tour of the house and then walked around the grounds. Then it was back to the campground.
