Vacation 2014, Day 26 September 16 Ellis Island - Statue of Liberty - New York City Skyline Click picture to enlarge, use back button to return Set the alarm, Had a quick breakfast in the RV and walked to the campground office to get picked up for our New York tour. The first part of the tour they drove us to Liberty State Park where we got on a ferry that took us to Ellis Island. We looked around the main center and watched a 45 minute presentation and film about the island. This is where my grandfather entered the country form Sweden when he was about 9 years old. Then it was back on the ferry for a ride to the Statue of Liberty. We toured the museum and went into the Pedestal where we looked up inside the statue. then took the ferry back to Liberty State Park where we got on the tour bus and started the New York City part of the tour. Sally, our driver and Linda our guide took us on a tour of the city that included stops at Time Square, Central Park, Rockefeller Center, Madison Square Park, Greenwich Village and The World Trade Center. Along the way we saw too Many things to list here.
