Bank John Dillinger Robbed - Iowa's Largest Muskie - Statue of "The Music Man" Meredith Willson

Left Tipton on I-80 west to I-380 west to US-218 to US-18 to Mason City IA. We are her to see Pete Marzen, an old friend of Marilyn's. Right after we set up camp in his driveway Pete took us on a sight seeing tour of the Mason City area that included The Music Man Square, a statue of "The Music Man" Meredith Willson in front of his home, the bank that John Dillinger robbed, Iowa's largest Muskie, the Buddy Holly crash site, The Surf Ballroom where Buddy performed his last gig, a house designed by Frank Lloyd Wright and many many more interesting places in and around Mason City. Later Pete took us to supper at Chop Restaurant.
