Stopped at Independence Rock. This where Pioneers headed west stopped and carved their names onto the rock. This also marked the half way point between the Missouri River and California or Oregon. We continued on to Rawlins to visit Jim's Mother in-law, today is her 85th. birthday. We are camped at the Western Hills Campground in Rawlins WY.. The weather here is still cool, in the 40's. I hooked up to cable TV at the campground and watched The Weather Channel and it looks the weather has gone down hill wherever we have gone, so our timing for the trip was good.
