Vacation 2003, Day 3

The Cicadas were quiet during the night, but started making noise about 8:30AM. Finally got to see one and take it's picture.

Had breakfast in the RV, waffles and bacon. Packed up the RV and headed north on highway 89A. Stopped at Slide Rock State Park and took some more pictures. Continued on 89A to Flagstaff, then 160 to Tusayan where I pulled into the Grand Canyon Airport to see about a helicopter tour. Marilyn decided she might not be ready for that, so we went to the IMAX theater and saw a movie on the Grand Canyon. After the movie we entered the park and went to the Travel Village campground to check in. Surprise, Stacie, Jim's daughter was working in the office. After Stacie got off work we went to dinner at the Bright Angel restaurant. After dinner we went back to the RV and visited.
